Tips for Searching in using ARTstor

1. Don't use articles (example: an, a, the)
2. For exact phrase searching use "quotations"
3. Word order doesn't matter (unless search is put in quotations). Andy Warhol and Warhol Andy retrieve the same results
4. Spelling matters

ARTstor is a digital library of images in the areas of art, architecture, the humanities, and social sciences.  Once in ARTstor users have the opportunity to view, organize, share and present images for research and educational purposes.

Registration with ArtStor gives you access to additional features.

1. To Register click ArtStor
2. Click on the GO button
3. Click Not Registered in the login section
4. Enter required information
5. After clicking Submit, you will receive a confirmation via email

Browser Level (Unregistered users) can search, save, and print images, and can view the contents of public Shared Folders.

Registered users can save image groups, add comments to images, and register to view the contents of password-protected Shared Folders. Registration is required to download the Offline Image Viewer.

Instructor Privileges users can create Shared Folders and add instructor commentary, and can also create Personal Collections.
